The Story Behind the Design

The design of the Task Management System platform for CTARSA Foundation began with an initial meeting involving the General Manager, Operational Manager, and prospective users from the team. During this session, I focused on understanding their needs and challenges to establish a solid foundation for the design process.

Identifying Needs and Proposing Solutions

From the discussions, I identified several key requirements:

  • A platform to systematically document operational activities.
  • Role-based access that reflects positions and divisions within the organization.
  • A minimalist, intuitive, and visually appealing design.

I hypothesized that:

  • Users need pretests and posttests for learning evaluation.
  • Video players should limit features like playback speed to enhance focus.

Research and Prototyping

I conducted research to analyze existing platforms, focusing on interface standards and features relevant to the project. Using this data, I created a prototype in Figma to visualize the platform’s structure and functionality.

Presentation and Discussion

During the next meeting, I presented the prototype, receiving valuable feedback:

  • Adding color-coded labels for better task categorization.
  • Implementing a progress bar to track task completion.
  • These suggestions were incorporated into the revised design to enhance the platform’s usability.

Refinement and Alternatives

Based on feedback, I revised the design and provided alternative options for the team.

Testing and Feedback

The final stage involved testing the platform with key stakeholders to ensure it met expectations. The feedback was positive, confirming that the design was functional and aligned with user needs.

This process not only resulted in a user-friendly and efficient design but also strengthened collaboration between myself and the CTARSA team, ensuring the platform supports organizational productivity effectively.
